Banding Bulletin – November 2010

Banding Bulletin – November 2010

We are very pleased to present this month’s edition of the “Banding Bulletin!” CRH was well represented at the ACG meeting in San Antonio last month; we were in the Exhibition Hall, presented a symposium in the Exhibitor’s Theater, and the CRH O’Regan System was featured in the ACG Hands-on Workshop Center.

CRH can now boast approximately 700 physicians performing RBL using the CRH O’Regan System, and over 250 practices from 32 states appearing on our website. Last month alone, our website generated approximately 1,000 patient referrals to our participating Partners! We have even received reports of patients traveling several hours in order to visit some of our Partner practices, after finding our “crhsystem.com” website! If you have not yet submitted your profile for inclusion in this free service, please contact Alicia Johnson.

If you are interested in being trained in these techniques, or in a “refresher” session, please contact me, and we will accommodate you as soon as possible. We have very limited availability in December, and are currently scheduling in January and February, and are anxious to visit with each of you in the coming months! We would like to encourage our existing Partners to schedule a “follow-up” or “refresher” session with us. We have received very positive feedback from these sessions, as they allow us to hold a “Q&A” with you as well as to work with some patients in an effort to help “fine-tune” your techniques. Again, there is no cost for these sessions, and we strongly advise that you take full advantage of them.

Dr. Iain Cleator’s Manuscript Reports Excellent Results in Largest Series of RBL Patients!

Dr. Iain Cleator, founder of the Cleator Clinic in Vancouver, BC, Canada, just published a manuscript, reporting on what is thought to be the largest series of hemorrhoid patients ever. He reported on 20,286 successive bandings in 6,690 patients, all banded with the CRH O’Regan System. The excellent results reported in his “Banding Hemorrhoids using the O’Regan Disposable Bander” were replicated in this study. The complication rate was less than 1% per patient (NOT per visit), and the long term recurrence rates were 13% at a mean f/u of 42 months. We would like to congratulate Dr. Cleator on his excellent work! You may read the manuscript by clicking here.

Know someone who would be interested in the CRH O’Regan System Partnership Program?

Use the “Forward to a Colleague” function on the right, or send me an email. We are happy to introduce your colleagues to the benefits of the program.
