It is hard to believe that it is almost March! Time flies and the CRH O’Regan SystemTM continues to gain rapid adoption and positive clinical outcomes. A new clinical study has been published in The Journal of Medicine by Dr. Neal Osborn and his colleagues at Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates. The Study demonstrates the safety and efficacy of our recommended Techniques using the CRH O’Regan SystemTM, even during the initial experience of the participating GI’s! The positive economic influence of the addition of these procedures was alluded to as well. To read the complete study click here. We also received an email from Dr. Loren Owensby of Victoria, TX who wanted to share his year’s experience with the System. Below is an excerpt:
The patients end up being 100% happy!!! We also treat a lot of FIA and yeast infections and also use the presenting opportunities to get a lot of screening colonoscopies done for these folks. Rarely does a patient have to go to surgery for LIS for FIA now. I have had three patients come back saying they are still bleeding a few weeks or months later after RBL. Each of those I have performed anoscopy with the handle slotted anoscope and found a hemorrhoidal column not completely gone. I have banded those under direct vision and have gotten good results in all three. One was a 93 yr old man who had been miserable before his first visit with me several months ago.
I have done three or four patients who had previously had hemorrhoid surgery in the years past and had sworn never to have that done again. Each has responded to RBL and has sung our praises loudly. Two were fellow physicians. . . I tell people that external disease will not disappear but that it probably will shrink to 50% of its pretreatment size. That has also been the case. And this procedure <has added significantly to my practice’s income>! Word of mouth is spreading in this area, and we are getting more and more patients all the time. Even the surgeons are sending us patients.
