Ultroid

Ultroid: A Non-Surgical Hemorrhoid Treatment

A technology known as “Ultroid”, uses a probe which is introduced into the anus through an anoscope. An electrical current (“direct current”) is then applied to create a chemical reaction in the hemorrhoid tissue, causing the hemorrhoid to scar and shrink, relieving the patients’ symptoms. The Ultroid procedure takes much longer to complete than CRH – depending upon the grade of the patient’s hemorrhoids and the amount of electrical current that the patient can tolerate from the Ultroid device without experiencing pain. The procedure should take between approximately 5 – 20 minutes, as opposed to less than 60 seconds for the CRH O’Regan System.
