Welcome to this month’s “Banding Bulletin”! Last month we introduced our first video installment that demonstrated our procedure utilizing the CRH O’Regan System. This month we have added a new video which introduces gastroenterologists to the specific benefits of the CRH O’Regan System Partnership Program. This short video features Drs. Gene Overholt, David Johnson, Harry Sarles, Steve Morris, Robert Ganz and Dennis Jensen and will help better demonstrate the value of incorporating the System into your practice. Please feel free to direct any that are interested to the video section of our site www.crhmedicalproducts.com – or you may also click here to watch the video.
We continue to receive a terrific response from a number of “follow-up training” sessions that we have been holding, and would like to make these sessions more readily available to all of our Partners across the country. These sessions are available at no cost to you – your only obligation would be to assemble a sufficient number of patients for the session. To schedule a follow-up training session please contact me.
I also wanted to direct everyone to our “Clinical Forms” section of our www.crhmedicalproducts.com website. Here you will be able to download any documents you may need to help support the clinical aspects of your banding practice. We have recently updated key documents such as FAQs, Clinical Pearls and combined the New Patient and Follow-up Patient note into one comprehensive Chart Note.

While simply having the tools in your office is half the battle, there is much more to marketing than awareness. If you haven’t already spoken with our resident marketing director, Alicia Johnson (310.376.1920), I encourage you to contact her today so that she can help you ensure that your practice is utilizing all that we have to offer to its fullest potential. Helpful Hints:
“My patient called after a banding, and stated that they found a rubber band floating in the commode after their first bowel movement. What should I do?”
Answer:
Simply, reassure the patient, and see him/her at their next scheduled appointment. Even though the band usually doesn’t fall off until days 2 – 5, periodically it will come off earlier; yet still achieve the desired result. It is possible that the band came off prematurely, but this should be evident at the next visit. If, at the time of the patient’s visit, you placed a second band because the first banding was not “adequate,” let the patient know that the first band might fall off prematurely. This will save the patient some anxiety, and will also save your office a call-back from the patient.
