We hope that this edition of the “Banding Bulletin” finds you well! We have some exciting news to share with you this month, as we will be launching an upgraded version of the CRH O’Regan System in the coming weeks! We will include some information about this improved technology and update you on our travel schedule.
The NEW CRH O’Regan System
Everyone at CRH is very excited to introduce an enhanced version of the CRH O’Regan System, with the first shipments expected by the end of May. The technology has been re-designed to benefit both the patient and the provider! The new features include:
• Integrated Obturator – the new technology will feature an incorporated obturator, making it MUCH easier to insert the ligator to the proper location, particularly in those patients with a lot of spasm present. You no longer will need to utilize the “pick and roll” technique, or use your index finger to help introduce the ligator, as this patented obturator allows for it to slide in easier and more comfortably than ever before!
• Anti-Pinch Feature– this feature has been designed to help avoid the “pinching” of the anoderm during insertion and/or aspiration of the tissue, further diminishing the incidence of pain during the procedure. With these modifications, the procedure has become less traumatic to the tissue and is increasing the satisfaction level of all involved!
• Locking “Band Pusher” – the new instrument employs a gentle locking mechanism, helping to keep the syringe and the outer sheath together as a single unit until you are ready to deploy the band. This again will simplify the procedure and minimize the risk of a premature deployment and “misfire” of the band.
There are only minimal changes to technique that will be suggested in order to take full advantage of the new device, and these will be demonstrated in a number of new tutorial videos which will be available on our website prior to the release! We’ll also be contacting you about our next series of webinars that will be scheduled in the near future. As always, I would invite you to contact ME should any questions arise!
We’d also like to offer you the opportunity to have one of us visit with you at your practice in order to present all of this in person! DDW is right around the corner, as is an expected surge in the demand for trainings and refresher sessions, so if a visit would be helpful, please contact ME as soon as possible so we can get you on the calendar! For those of you that have yet to be trained, or perhaps are not as comfortable with the procedure as you’d like, the new technology will further speed up the “learning curve”, so again, please let us know and we’ll get you on our calendar!
May Conference Schedule
The spring conference schedule is in full swing, and CRH will be on the road in order to help support you in any way that we can. If you will be in San Diego for DDW, please come visit us at BOOTH 4021, where we will be available to show off the new ligator, address any questions you might have, schedule a training or “refresher” session, etc.
We will also be at the ACG Eastern Regional Postgraduate Course at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC from June 24-26.
Thanks for “tuning in” to this month’s Bulletin! Please let us know if we can help with anything at all, and we hope to catch up with you soon.
Best,
Mitch
