Banding Bulletin – October 2013

Banding Bulletin – October 2013

We hope that the latest edition of the Banding Bulletin finds you well! This month, we’ll be sharing some feedback that we’ve received from Partners around the country and tell you about our upcoming travel schedule!

Conference Schedule

It seems unbelievable that October is already here — but that means that it is time for the “Colleges” to be meeting! LAURA and I are currently in Washington, DC for the American College of Surgeons from Oct 7 – 9, in the Exhibition Hall at Booth #538. We’d love the opportunity to demonstrate the use of the CRH O’Regan System, to address any questions you might have in regard to the technology and suggested techniques as well as to make certain that you have access to all of the practice management tools we offer to help you care for your patients more efficiently and effectively. We are looking forward to seeing everyone, so PLEASE stop by and say “hello” if you will be in the area.

Next week, we are off to San Diego for the American College of Gastroenterology meeting. We will be in the exhibition hall at booth #721 from Oct. 13-15. Andy Gorchynsky will be joining me as well as a number of the folks from CRH — and hopefully we’ll get them off the beach and into the convention center in time for the conference!

Educational Resources

I’d like to thank those of you sending us your comments and feedback on the recent additions to our “Videos” section of our website. We will soon have another tranche of videos coming online, which address some of the more frequently asked questions that we receive. We will update you when these have been loaded onto the website; in the meantime, please let us know if there are any topics that you would like us to cover.

There are also some didactic presentations available online which cover anorectal pathology and the outpatient care of hemorrhoids that you might find helpful. Within the ACG Universe (http://universe.gi.org), there is a lecture which we presented at the ACG in San Antonio discussing the in-office treatment of hemorrhoids and fissures, along with a talk given by Dr. Lawrence Brandt that was given at a Regional ACG course. To find these pieces, simply enter “Guttenplan” or “Brandt” in the “author search” box, and you will be referred to these programs.

In addition, the ASGE has made their video presentations even easier to work with, as there is now the option of watching the videos online as well as to order the DVD! The video, entitled Office-Based Non-Endoscopic Treatments for Hemorrhoids, can be found HERE. With the exception of the fairly obnoxious presenter on the video, I hope that this will be a good resource for you as well!

Got Hemorrhoids?

From a personal perspective, the most rewarding part of my work has been the incredible feedback that we’ve received from our Partners, their staff, and most importantly, the patients treated with the CRH Technology! In large part, because of the simplicity and efficacy of the procedure, we continue to hear comments such as “these are my favorite patients to take care of”, “I look forward to my “butt clinic” every week”, that “offering these services has done more to help me to build my practice”, etc.! The folks at CRH, after ”borrowing” the idea of our friends at East Texas Gastro Associates in Longview, TX, have made the “Got Hemorrhoids?” tee shirts that are now available to practices utilizing the CRH O’Regan System®.

Take a look at a a few pictures of some of our “models” below. Thanks to everyone participating in these pictures, and we are happy to post pictures or your practice, or to set up your office with tee shirts as well. Please contact BRIANNE for this, and she will hook you up!

Would You Like a Training Session?

ANDY and I are always happy to head to your practice in order to hold a training session and introduce the technology to your practice. If you are interested in one of these sessions, offered at no cost to you, please let me know!

Thanks again for your interest! We hope to see you in DC or San Diego — in the meantime, please let me know if we can help in any way.

Best,
Mitch
