Medicare patients? Banding is covered and is a great way to bring patients into your practice. When billing out Medicare you should be using Hemorrhoid Banding (46221) and if a secondary diagnosis, you can also bill out an E&M code (99212). The National Average for banding using both codes is a total of $346.33
